January of 2009

Jan 1 Happy New Year!
- We welcomed the new year in my sister's condo.. just watching fireworks.. and singing videoke with my siblings..

Jan 1-2 Beach time!
- Bodgie and I celebrated new year and our monthsary in my most favorite place.. the beach.. stayed in Virgin Beach Resort.. cool room type.. cool water.. and cool weather.. haha.. too bad its raining.. so we were greeted by strong winds.. and strong waves.. reminded me of the gloomy weather in Boracay.. good thing, the weather did permit us to swim for a while.. a bit of the sun did show up.. so we took that chance to dip in the water.. =)
- Btw, I have to tell this.. the food was fab! Its not buffet just like La Luz, but the meal is enough to make your stomach full.. presentation is good too.

Jan 2 Dinner with Dev C peeps
- I still can't get enough of Jan 1&2.. hahaha.. after the beach, we headed directly to the office, because we "need" to work.. dev C saturn peeps is almost complete, if not for the people who were still in the province that time.. And so t'was decided to move the plan 1 day earlier (supposed to be Jan 3) since we are almost complete.. we had our dinner in La Mesa Grill.. (nothing fab.. but the company is great =) )
- Then after the dinner, decided to hang up some more in SB blue wave. This is what we missed in JP.. As all may know, Japan is already asleep as early as 8pm for other shops.. haha.. and you can't stay late at night, since you will miss the last train.. (bikes can't take you that far)

Jan 5 - Flight back to JP
- This is like a field trip for Dev C.. 13 Dev C peeps in one plane.. too bad.. we were assigned to scattered seating arrangement.. coz we were really early.. hahaha.. we're the last person to check in..
- First time that Bodgie and I flew together heading to JP..

Within January
- since there's no more memorable date within January.. and I'm back with the routinary work-work-work-sleep period.. I'll just highlight some events that happened in January..

* "Shizuka ni shite kudasai"
Saizeriya moment.. we were so loud that the waiter in the restau approached us, telling us to lower down our voice a little.. actually, t'was because Billy told something that really made us laugh unstoppably..

* A mall with a foodcourt
It's like you're in Megamall.. with foodcourt.. and a department store inside.. except that you're in JP.. hahaha.. I guess I'll be back again soon..

* "Shout all you can" shop
Well.. its the Open-Air restaurant.. where every staff simultaneously shouts every time a customer enters/leaves/orders in the shop.. in short.. it's the place where we belong.. without anyone telling us to keep quiet.. haha..

* Cooking 101
We're back to "bento" for lunch.. so I am always preparing food every morning.. cooking dishes.. and just to have variations of dishes.. I'm surfing for new Filipino food recipes.. not excatly new. but stuffs that I don't usually cook other than the usual Menudo/Mechado/Afritada/Adobo thing.. =) Have tried Chicken in Oyster Sauce, Pork Barbeque, Nilagang baka and Shrimp Gambas.. more to come!

* First bowling of the year!
Bodgie and I went on bowling.. and my first shot was a gutter! hahaha.. so much for not having played for quite some time.. but it feels great to play again plus the fact that I beat Bodgie.. score was 3-0! hahaha..

* Snowfall
Not so much to cover the place with snow.. in fact after landing, it melted quickly, and it didn't last that long.. It was just good to see tiny pieces of it landing on your cheeks.. =)


Well, I guess this wraps up my January. =)

getting chubbier

(wala ng kokontra blog ko ito eh.. hehehe )

my clothes are getting smaller (blame it on the washing machine.. harhar)

lately i'm easy to get tired with long walks.. or biking.. or climbing the stairs..
(blame it on the shoes (?) )

when i look in the mirror.. i really think i've grown bigger..

but i don't have anything against with my current weight nor size..

i'm happy.. but i think i'm better with my latter me..

but how can i do it?

i do crave a lot with pasta.. and when i do.. i cook pasta no matter what time of the day is it..

then there's m&m.. non-stop eating that its too late to notice i already eaten 3 packs in one sitting..

then there's midnight rice "snack".. then afterwards sleep.. harharhar..

then i am definitely not missing breakfast nowadays..

after that bunch of eating "exercises" i don't really do the real exercise at all..

stress can really make me fat..

but i don't care.. as long as i'm healthy.. (i think)

on weddings and all..

in month's time, i witnessed two weddings already, and so you can't blame me if this is my current blog's topic. hehe..

in my opinion, wedding is the most blessed and happiest occasion in a person's life.. (maybe mostly true for women) with a portrait of heart-melting smiles worn in the couple's faces, with everybody around just simply happy for the couple..

aside from the traditional bouquet tossing, garter tossing, cutting of the cake and all.. every wedding is really different based on the couple's personality. =)

i just love looking at the bride's face.. seeing her very happy and contented..

anyways, i just have some notes that i just ran up my mind having witnessed those two weddings..

- wedding is definitely equals to expenses.. so you must be really really ready for it..

- making your guestlist is the toughest part of the wedding plan.. especially when you're both Filipino and you're on a tight budget. :p

- in both occasion, i didn't saw a bridal registry list.. this might help I think.. but is not practiced in most of Filipino weddings..

- to have a successful wedding, your must make sure your guests won't leave the ceremony with a space in their stomachs.. buffet or lauriat.. either way can do as long as its always bottomless.. hehehe..

- i always love the parent's speech part.. never fails to make me cry..

- attending wedding with your partner is better than attending alone.. ( for those with partners ).. its just that i think i'll be happier if my partners beside me watching a wonderful occasion..

- pressure is always around for single people and singles with partners in life.. especially when you're attending a wedding of a person with same age as you.. I did felt some goosebumps seeing Harold then Amy walk down the aisle..

nuff said.. (baka kasi kung saan pa mapunta.. hehe.. )

well.. i'm looking forward for more weddings to attend to... =)

one week down..
